Who we are

Mark Lawther has more than 25 years’ experience in the travel industry having worked for a number of major tour operators and international airlines; United and Emirates to be precise. Consequently, he has an extensive knowledge of the industry that is (probably) unmatched in Cornwall having moved here in 2012 with his family – one wife and four boys.

When not creating amazing travel experiences he can normally be found on the touchline of a Cornish Rugby Club, usually St Austell and St Ives, where he has offspring currently playing. You may also find him pounding the streets of Cornwall, having decided to start running a couple of years ago. A rather unseen life U-turn for those who knew him before!!

Financial protection

ATOL protection covers flight-based trips booked with a UK travel company. If your package holiday is ATOL protected, it means you’ll get support and financial help if your travel company collapses.

The name ATOL stands for Air Travel Organisers’ Licensing scheme. The scheme began in 1973. Travel companies that are members of this scheme are called ATOL holders.

Ever wondered how ATOL protection is funded? ATOL holders pay a fee for each traveller. The fees are held in a fund managed by the Air Travel Trust. This fund is used to refund, repatriate or reimburse travellers if their travel company ceases trading.
